My thoughts are as follows:
- “Threenagers?” I’ve never heard that one before.
- I’m eager to learn what the author means by “emotional literacy.”
- “Ultimately, emotional literacy is as foundational as learning the ABCs.” They never give a fancy definition. Whatever… Some psychologist by the name of Daniel Goleman claims, “If your emotional abilities aren’t in hand, if you don’t have self-awareness, if you are not able to manage your distressing emotions, if you can’t have empathy and have effective relationships, then no matter how smart your are, you are not going to get very far.” Personally, I’d like to argue that or at least question what he means by “get very far.”
- I was eager to read the comments. But they didn’t show up.
- In conclusion, show your favorite little guys that you have emotions. Tell them that it’s okay to have emotions too. Listen to what they think of and how they perceive the emotions of other and so on.
